These terms govern your use of Acredemia. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Acredemia is
Acredemia is a verification layer. We check the claims you submit against their issuing sources and label each with its honest state. We verify claims, we do not rank people, and we never assert that a person is good or bad, only whether a specific claim holds up against its source.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Your claims
You may add only claims that are truthfully yours. Fabricating, inflating, or misattributing a claim, or attempting to pass off another person's work as your own, is a breach of these terms and grounds for removal. A claim with no supporting evidence stays self-reported and carries no penalty; it simply is not presented as verified.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not impersonate another person or organization.
- Do not attempt to game, bypass, or defraud the verification process.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or attack the service.
- Do not upload unlawful, malicious, or infringing content.
5. Verification is best-effort, not a guarantee
A verified mark means a claim was checked against the source that issued it at a point in time. It is not a warranty of your skill, your character, your employability, or any outcome. Sources can change, and verification depends on their availability and accuracy. Recruiters make their own hiring decisions; Acredemia is not a party to, and is not responsible for, those decisions.
6. Recruiters
Recruiters using the service see verified evidence and the corroboration behind it, never a person-level score or ranking, and agree to use it lawfully and only for legitimate hiring evaluation.
7. Intellectual property
Acredemia owns the platform, its software, and its brand. You retain ownership of the content and data you submit, and you grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, verify, and (with your consent) display it to operate the service.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination we delete or anonymize your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acredemia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the prior twelve months.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India.
